Home, Honor, and Gratitude: Giving Thanks to Our Veterans This November

November is a month for reflection and appreciation. This week, our nation paused to honor the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of the men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Veterans Day serves as a reminder that the freedoms we enjoy—safety, security, and the ability to build a life with our families—come at a cost that is measured in commitment and courage. As we approach Thanksgiving, that spirit of gratitude naturally extends beyond a single day, urging us to recognize the people and values that make our communities strong.

Home is at the heart of this reflection. For veterans, it is far more than a physical place. After years of service in challenging and often dangerous conditions, home represents stability, peace, and belonging.
